A mass shooting occurred Sunday evening in an Annapolis neighbourhood, leaving three people dead and three others injured. A person of interest is currently in custody, according to the police. There was at least one weapon found. Gavin Buckley, the mayor of Annapolis, expressed his sadness for the affected families and the city. “This can happen anywhere, and using weapons to solve problems solves nothing.”

Detectives are attempting to pin down a motive, according to Capt. Lamar Howard of the Annapolis Police Criminal Investigation, but it was not a random shooting. Police are also of the opinion that there was a gunshot exchange.

The three injured people’s conditions were unknown to officials. Buckley said we are in a pretty middle-class neighbourhood in Annapolis, Maryland. “Tonight is an example of mindless bloodshed, individuals using firearms to solve problems again. It is the most absurd thing our society is capable of doing. We must take action to halt this.
