Wu-Tang Clan is stepping back into gaming with Wu-Tang: Rise of the Deceiver, a new co-op action RPG developed and published by Brass Lion Entertainment.
The project was unveiled with a teaser trailer at Summer Game Fest 2025, and the studio has said the trailer is also being shown at stops on the group’s Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber tour.
It’s positioned as the group’s first game in roughly a quarter-century, following Wu-Tang: Shaolin Style (1999) on PlayStation.

What kind of game is it?
Brass Lion describes Rise of the Deceiver as a multiplayer co-op action RPG for up to three players. Players fight an invading, corrupting force called the Deceiver, while the Wu-Tang Clan “passes on” mystical powers to a new generation of warriors to save Shaolin.
A few key gameplay elements have been outlined:
-
Three-player co-op, with a social hub in Shaolin
-
Customization for fighting styles and fashion, earned via jewels and gear
-
A surreal “dreamworld” structure, with battles across different “Chambers”
The Wu-Tang angle isn’t just branding
One of the headline hooks is the music. Brass Lion has said the game features a dynamic gameplay soundtrack built from classic Wu-Tang songs plus new material, overseen by producer Just Blaze.
Visually, early coverage points to a blend of surreal, stylized fantasy aesthetics with anime and martial-arts-inspired style, aligning with Wu-Tang’s long-running mythos.
How it connects to Angel of Dust
This isn’t being treated as a standalone one-off. Brass Lion has described the game as part of Ghostface Killah’s Angel of Dust franchise and said it was initially conceived as a tie-in to a supernatural thriller film project produced by Ghostface Killah and set to be directed by RZA, sharing themes through an interactive format.
Release date and platforms
No firm release date has been announced. Official listings describe the release date as to be announced, with the game planned for PC and consoles.
