With The Traitors continuing to be hugely popular on UK television and pulling in record numbers of viewers, many fans are now turning their attention to the American version. The Traitors US Season 4 has already started airing in the United States (released on January 8th, 2026), leaving UK viewers curious about when, or even if, it will be available to watch in Britain.
The US version is hosted by Alan Cumming, who recently hosted the BAFTA Awards. Unlike the UK version, which features everyday people, the American show mainly includes celebrities who come from reality TV, competition shows, and the entertainment industry.
Will The Traitors US Season 4 Release in the UK?
Looking at previous seasons of The Traitors gives a good idea of what might happen. Seasons 1, 2, and 3 were all made available to UK audiences via BBC Player, so many people expect Season 4 to be released there as well. However, as of now, the BBC has not confirmed an official UK release date.
Last year, the BBC released the first five episodes of The Traitors US Season 3 on iPlayer immediately after the UK season concluded in late January. Therefore, this allowed viewers to easily switch from the British version to the American one without having to wait too long.
Why the UK Release May Be Delayed This Year
This year, however, there appears to be a scheduling complication. It has been confirmed that the Irish version of The Traitors, hosted by Derry Girls star Siobhán McSweeney, will arrive on BBC iPlayer on Saturday, January 24th, 2026, just one day after the UK season finale on Friday, January 23rd, 2026.
If the BBC chooses to release only one international version at a time, The Traitors US Season 4 could be pushed back until later in the year. At present, this is just speculation, as no official announcement has been made regarding the US show’s UK release plans.
Cast of The Traitors US Season 4
In Season 4 of The Traitors US, 23 celebrities enter a mysterious Scottish castle, all competing for a cash prize of $250,000. The season features a big and familiar cast comprising stars from popular reality shows and the entertainment world.
The lineup includes Real Housewives stars Dorinda Medley, Candiace Dillard-Bassett, Porsha Williams, and Lisa Rinna. Dorinda Medley is returning after being voted out early in the previous season. It also features Love Island UK star Maura Higgins, RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Monét X Change, and Big Brother US alumni Tiffany Mitchell and Ian Terry.
Other contestants are popular Olympic skaters Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski, Travis and Jason Kelce’s mom Donna Kelce, actor Michael Rapaport, comedian Ron Funches, The Bachelorette star Colton Underwood, Top Chef winner Kristen Kish, singer Eric Nam, Laguna Beach star Stephen Colletti, Love Island USA star Rob Rausch, The Amazing Race winner Natalie Anderson, Dancing with the Stars favourite Mark Ballas, and Survivor players Rob Cesternino and Yamil Arocho.
For now, UK viewers will need to be patient. While The Traitors US Season 4 is expected to eventually land on BBC iPlayer, the focus on the UK and Irish editions means the American version may not arrive as quickly as it did last year.
