The Madison is ready to saddle up.
Taylor Sheridan’s next Yellowstone universe series has officially received a premiere date on Paramount+. It was confirmed in August 2024 after previously being titled 2024.
Starring Kurt Russell as Preston Clyburn and Michelle Pfeiffer as Stacy Clyburn, the new neo-western drama will come out on Saturday, March 14th, 2026. Along with the announcement, Paramount+ has also shared the first-look pictures, giving fans an early glimpse of the television series. The photos show Pfeiffer and the other cast members in outfits that fit the Yellowstone style.
As per its official description, The Madison is described as “a heartfelt study of grief and human connection” and also “a profound love story channeled through a deeply personal family drama about resilience and transformation.”
The show is set in two places, Montana and New York City. It follows the Clyburn family, led by a matriarch and tells an emotional story about loss and relationships as a family from New York spends time in Montana’s Madison River valley and deals with struggles together. Right now, it’s unclear whether the Clyburn family will have any connection to the Dutton family from Yellowstone.

In an interview, director Christina Voros spoke a bit about the six-episode season. She said, “It’s such a different story. The common ground is the landscape. We are in Montana, but it is seen through a completely different lens, so it feels like another facet of this cut stone that has been polished. There are parallels in the scope of landscape and a human being’s place in that space, but it’s coming at it from a completely different point of view.”
Alongside Pfeiffer and Russell, the show also features Amiah Miller as Brigitte Reese, Patrick J. Adams as Russell McIntosh, Elle Chapman as Paige McIntosh, Kevin Zegers as Cade Harris, Rebecca Spence as Liliana Weeks, Beau Garrett as Abigail Reese, Matthew Fox as Paul, Ben Schnetzer as Van Davis, Danielle Vasinova as Kestrel Harris, and Alaina Pollack as Macy Reese.
For many of the cast members, this is their first time working on a Taylor Sheridan project. Danielle Vasinova is the only exception, as she played the role of Ata Waipa in 2 episodes of 1923 Season 2.
The Madison is one of the three new Yellowstone spin-offs arriving this year. This shows that the franchise is still going strong after the original series ended. Along with The Madison, Paramount+ is developing The Dutton Ranch, which will focus on Rip Wheeler and Beth Dutton, played by Cole Hauser and Kelly Reilly, though it does not have a release date yet.
Another spin-off, Marshals, will premiere on CBS on March 1st, 2026 and will see Luke Grimes’ comeback as Kayce Dutton. These new shows are part of the growing Yellowstone universe, which includes prequels like 1883 and 1923. The story will continue next with the upcoming series 1944.
Meanwhile, Sheridan is preparing to move to NBCUniversal with a new film deal later this year, although his deal with Paramount will continue until the end of 2028.
The Madison is executive produced by David C. Glasser, John Linson, Taylor Sheridan, Art Linson, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Michael Friedman, Christina Alexandra Voros, Michelle Pfeiffer, Kurt Russell, and Keith Cox.
Also, Christina Voros serves as the director of the series. The show is produced by 101 Studios, Bosque Ranch Productions, and Paramount Television Studios.
The show will exclusively stream on Paramount+.
