Court documents show Guttenberg filed in Los Angeles on April 4, 2025, citing “irreconcilable differences,” with the couple’s separation date listed as “TBD.”
The filing notes that the pair has a prenuptial agreement in place, which will guide how any community property and debts are handled. Reports also indicate Guttenberg agreed to pay spousal support, and the paperwork includes terms around legal fees.
Guttenberg and Smith were introduced in 2014 via a mutual friend, moved in together about a year later, and got engaged in December 2016 before marrying in a small Malibu ceremony in January 2019.
