She filed for divorce from Urban on September 30th 2025, after 19 years of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences and marital difficulties.”
The 58-year-old actress experienced motherhood for the first time in the year 1993, when she and her then-husband, Tom Cruise, adopted their daughter, Bella. The couple later expanded their family with the adoption of their son, Connor.
Although the couple got separated in 2001, Nicole Kidman shared with Elle in 2008 that their children grew up with a lot of love. Speaking about her older kids, the actress described them as generous, kind, and hardworking, adding that those are the qualities she treasures most in them.
Now, following her divorce from Tom Cruise, the actress married Keith Urban on June 25th, 2006. The couple welcomed their first daughter, Sunday Rose, into the world in 2008 and their second daughter, Faith Margaret, in 2010.
In a 2021 interview with Marie Claire Australia, the actress, who has previously spoken about her fertility challenges, shared that she had always dreamed of having a large family. Shortly after her birth on December 22nd, 1992, in Miami, Isabella Jane was adopted by Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman. In 2007, the actress shared, “From the minute Tom and I were married, I wanted to have babies. And we lost a baby early on, so that was really very traumatic. And that’s when we would adopt our daughter Bella.”
Although Isabella, commonly known as Bella, mainly grew up with her father in Beverly Hills, she has largely kept her life private. She completed her studies at West London’s Delmar Academy of Make-Up and Hair before pursuing a career in fashion.
The fashion designer began her career with Holmes and Yang, the brand founded by Tom Cruise’s ex-wife, Katie Holmes. In 2018, she launched her own label, BKC, Bella Kidman Cruise, featuring t-shirts decorated with her original artwork.
She tied the knot with British IT consultant Max Parker in 2015. Although her famous parents were absent from the ceremony, Cruise reportedly helped cover some of the wedding expenses.
Connor Cruise (30 Years Old)
Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise welcomed their second child, son Connor, through adoption shortly after he was born on January 17th, 1995, in Florida.
He was raised in Los Angeles and made his first notable screen appearance in 2008, acting alongside Will Smith in the drama “Seven Pounds.” He later appeared in the 2012 action film “Red Dawn.” As a teenager, he shifted his focus to music, releasing his debut single in 2013 and performing as a DJ across the U.S.
Connor is also a passionate deep-sea fisherman, a hobby he credits to the family travels he experienced growing up. In 2018, a source told People, Connor currently lives in Florida and has a barbecue business called Connor’s Meatshack. The insider said, “Connor leads a fairly simple life in Clearwater. He lives in his own home in a Scientology community. His life is deep-sea fishing. He has a lot of friends and seems very well-liked.”
Sunday Rose Kidman Urban (17 Years Old)
Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman celebrated the arrival of their daughter, Sunday Rose, in Nashville, on July 7th 2008. Reportedly, the actress’s father originally suggested the name Sunday, inspired by the Australian arts patron “Sunday Reed.” The couple, who call Sunday their “favourite day,” wholeheartedly embraced the idea.
When Sunday was young, the family moved to Tennessee. Along with picking up her parents’ Australian expressions, she also developed a touch of a Southern accent.
Also, music has been a passion for her from an early age, echoing her parents’ artistic paths. At the 2017 Palm Springs International Film Festival, the actress revealed that her daughter had also started acting. She said, “My daughter just got cast in her school play. So, that’s been the main priority, learning lines with her.”
In April 2024, at the AFI Life Achievement Award Gala, where their mother was being honored, Sunday and Faith stepped onto the red carpet for the first time. Later, in October 2024, Sunday debuted on the runway at Miu Miu’s spring/summer 2025 Paris Fashion Week show, walking in a sleeveless white dress paired with black knee socks and open-toe pumps.
Keith Urban has said that he feels pride in his daughter’s decision to pursue her modelling ambitions, though he hopes she remains humble and grounded along the way. He expressed, “Hopefully we can just help her keep balance with everything through all of that. Hopefully, she’ll benefit by having two parents who know about a certain amount of celebrity.”
Outside of modelling, Sunday supports her parents’ endeavours too. In March 2025, she accompanied her mother to a Nashville screening of her film, Holland.
Faith Margaret Kidman Urban (14 Years Old)
Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman welcomed their second daughter, Faith Margaret, on December 28th, 2010, in Nashville, through gestational surrogate. Like her older sister, Faith’s name carries a special significance. It has been reported that after facing fertility challenges, the couple “never gave up faith they’d have another child together.” Her middle name, Margaret, was chosen in honor of Nicole Kidman’s grandmother.
While the couple have made a conscious effort to protect their daughters’ privacy, Sunday and Faith have occasionally stepped into the spotlight. They appeared as background extras in Nicole Kidman’s hit show “Big Little Lies” and even lent their voices to baby bird characters in “The Angry Birds Movie 2.”
