Marvel has officially shifted the release plans for its next two Avengers movies. Marvel.com now lists Avengers: Doomsday for Dec. 18, 2026, and Avengers: Secret Wars for Dec. 17, 2027.
The change confirms earlier industry reporting that both films moved off their previous spring slots. The Hollywood Reporter and Variety reported that Doomsday moved from May 1, 2026 to Dec. 18, 2026, while Secret Wars shifted from May 7, 2027, to Dec. 17, 2027.
How much longer is the wait?
Compared with the prior schedule, the delays amount to roughly seven months each:

Doomsday: 231 days later (May 1 → Dec. 18, 2026)

Secret Wars: 224 days later (May 7 → Dec. 17, 2027)
And the gap between the two movies remains tight: just under a year separates Doomsday and Secret Wars on the calendar (Dec. 18, 2026 → Dec. 17, 2027).
If you’re publishing this story around mid-December 2025, the new dates mean you’re looking at about one year until Doomsday and about two years until Secret Wars.
