Marieangela King, the wife of Cher’s son Elijah Blue Allman, has filed for divorce, ending what court documents describe as an 11-year marriage after a brief period in which the couple appeared to have reconciled. King’s filing in Los Angeles cites irreconcilable differences and lists a separation date of March 31, 2025.

The split comes after a prior breakup that seemed to reverse. Allman first filed for divorce in 2021, but in early 2024 he sought to dismiss the case “without prejudice,” a move widely interpreted as a sign they were attempting to work things out; a judge granted that dismissal shortly afterward. King’s new petition, filed April 8, 2025, reopens the legal process and suggests the reconciliation did not hold.
In her filing, King requests temporary spousal support, reported at $6,000 per month, and asks for exclusive use of their residence and their vehicle (a 2017 Toyota Prius V), with alternate financial terms if Allman keeps the car.
The divorce news also lands after a turbulent public stretch around Allman’s wellbeing and family dynamics. In late 2023, King publicly alleged that Cher arranged for Allman to be taken to treatment against his will, an allegation Cher denied—amid a broader conservatorship dispute involving Cher and her son.
Neither Allman nor Cher has publicly commented on the latest divorce filing in the reports cited, while King has indicated she hopes to preserve a respectful relationship moving forward.
