‘Culprits’ to be aired on Disney Plus is likely to see Gemma Arterton and Eddie Izzard playing criminals targeted by a serial killer most absurdly.
Culprits is a humorous drama series coming to Disney Plus that follows a good old-fashioned British heist led by a gang of misfits, who get a deadly due reward over the eight episodes.
Eddie Izzard, Gemma Arterton, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Niamh Algar, and Nathan Stewart Jarrett are rumoured to star in the series. Created by Character 7, it has acclaimed executive producer Stephen Garrett (The Undoing, The Night Manager) and filmmaker J Blakeson (I Care A Lot, The Disappearance of Alice Creed) among its creative team.
Here’s all the scoop we have now regarding the cast, plot, trailer and the release date of the Culprits series.
Culprits Cast
The Culprits cast is quite vast and has an extensive portrayal of characters. Nathan Stewart-Jarrett (Misfits) plays the lead part of Joe while Gemma Arterton (The King’s Man, Made In Dagenham) is in the role of Dianne and Eddie Izzard (Stay Close, Victoria, and Abdul, Six Minutes to Midnight) plays the role of Vincent.
Other stars of the show include Kirby Howell-Baptiste (Cruella), who plays Officer, Niamh Algar (Raised by Wolves) is Psycho, Kamel El Basha (The Insult) plays Youssef, newcomer Tara Abboud plays the role of Azar, Kevin Vidal (Working Moms) is Jules, and Ned Dennehy (Good Omens) will play the Devil.
Culprits Release Date
Disney+ has yet to announce a worldwide release date for Culprits, but as the drama has only just started filming and is currently in production, the release date could be way off, likely towards the end of 2022 or 2023 itself. In the U.K., Culprits is like to be launched on the Star brand of Disney Plus.
Culprits Plot
Culprits aren’t just a normal comedy-drama. It’s a culmination of laughter and a whole lot of twists and turns. The eight episodes follow what happens after a big heist when the crew has gone their separate ways.
A killer one-by-one is then targeting them, so the question is who’s, is tipping them off and why? Is there a traitor in their midst, or is it an enemy outside the theft gang? No doubt, when the killings begin, the paranoia among the group is ramped up by the members who are left out.
Culprits Trailer
As of now, there has not been a trailer or teaser for the show yet, although there are several rumours that they will be back in business again and are likely to be released soon.

Blakeson will also be directing the show’s first five episodes, while Claire Oakley (“Makeup”) will direct the remaining three episodes.

We are expecting lots of drama, a humourous series and truly some funny twists and turns in the series, and we seriously cannot wait for its release on Disney Plus.
