In a statement shared on Instagram, she wrote, “The January 14th announcement will be postponed to a later date due to the devastation caused by the ongoing wildfires around areas of Los Angeles,” adding, “I continue to pray for healing and rebuilding for the families suffering from trauma and loss.”
The singer also praised first responders working through dangerous conditions, calling them “brave” and thanking them for protecting the community. The announcement had been teased weeks earlier, fueling widespread fan speculation about what Beyoncé planned to reveal.
Entertainment Weekly noted the date was highlighted after her viral Christmas Day NFL halftime performance—quickly nicknamed the “Beyoncé Bowl”—with online theories ranging from a tour announcement to other Cowboy Carter–related news.
In addition to postponing her news, Beyoncé has directed attention toward relief efforts. PEOPLE reported that she donated $2.5 million through her BeyGOOD Foundation to support a newly launched LA Fire Relief Fund, aimed at helping families who lost homes and supporting community organizations addressing urgent needs.
