Netflix has canceled FUBAR, ending Arnold Schwarzenegger’s spy-action comedy after two seasons. Multiple outlets confirmed the streamer is not moving forward with Season 3, bringing to a close Schwarzenegger’s first leading role in a scripted live-action TV series.

The Skydance Television series debuted in May 2023 and followed CIA operative Luke Brunner (Schwarzenegger) who discovers his daughter Emma (Monica Barbaro) is also an agent—meaning their entire relationship has been built on secrets. The show leaned into a mix of family dysfunction, globe-trotting missions, and broad comedy, with an ensemble that included Fortune Feimster, Travis Van Winkle, Milan Carter, and others.
Season 2 arrived on Netflix on June 12, 2025, with Carrie-Anne Moss joining as Greta Nelso, a former East German spy and Luke’s ex, which added a new “old flames” dynamic to the action.
While Netflix didn’t spotlight a single official reason in the coverage, reporting tied the decision to a significant drop in viewership between seasons. The Hollywood Reporter reported that the show’s viewed minutes declined sharply from Season 1 to Season 2, citing a 73% drop in viewing minutes.
Creator/executive producer Nick Santora also addressed the cancellation in comments carried by Entertainment Weekly, saying he was proud of the series and calling the experience of making it with Schwarzenegger and the cast “surreal” and “exciting.”
