A Guide to Sirens Filming Locations: The Cliff House Is Real (Here’s Where It Is)

Date:

Sirens may be set on a fictional, New England–style island, but its most talked-about setting—the lavish “Cliff House” estate—is rooted in real locations you can actually visit, especially if you’re headed to New York’s Long Island.

Where “Cliff House” was filmed in real life

Netflix’s own Tudum guide says the grounds of Cliff House were filmed at Caumsett State Historic Park Preserve in Lloyd Harbor, New York.

Entertainment Weekly likewise reports that Sirens was primarily shot around Lloyd Harbor, with Caumsett standing in for the Kell estate’s manicured lawns, shoreline, and nature-forward atmosphere.

The series’ “mansion” is also a bit of movie magic. Multiple reputable outlets note that Cliff House is a composite: a real home helped “set the foundation” for the look, with production enhancements used to make it feel larger and more imposing on camera. Marie Claire and House Beautiful report that Long Island homes and locations (including a private property tied to the main house look) were modified and supplemented for the show’s final on-screen version.

For interiors, Tudum confirms the opulent indoor spaces were built and filmed on a soundstage at Steiner Studios in Brooklyn—meaning the grand rooms you see inside aren’t part of a public tour.

How to visit the real-life “Cliff House” setting

If you want the closest real-world Sirens experience, Caumsett State Historic Park Preserve is your best bet.

  • Address: 25 Lloyd Harbor Road, Huntington, NY (as listed by EW and NY State Parks).

  • Hours: Open daily from sunrise to sunset, per Entertainment Weekly.

  • Vehicle fee: NY State Parks lists $8 per car, with seasonal/dated collection windows.

  • What you can do there: NY State Parks highlights the preserve’s trails and outdoor offerings—walking, hiking, biking, shoreline views, and nature observation.

A few helpful “before you go” notes straight from NY State Parks: some activities (like certain fishing access) require permits, and the park also has specific rules around restricted items/activities and commercial photography permits.

What you’ll recognize when you’re there

On-screen, Cliff House reads as a sprawling, old-money coastal compound. In real life, you can still get the vibe from the lawns, coastal paths, and shore views used for the estate’s exterior atmosphere—just keep in mind that TV framing and production enhancements help sell the scale.

Both EW and Tudum describe Caumsett as the key public-facing location that delivers that “rareified coastal estate” feeling.
