Eminem has officially become a grandfather after his daughter Hailie Jade Scott welcomed her first child with husband Evan McClintock. Hailie announced the news on Instagram in early April, sharing that their baby boy, born March 14, 2025, is named Elliot Marshall McClintock, with the middle name serving as a clear tribute to her dad, whose real name is Marshall Mathers.

The name reveal is what really set the internet off: “Marshall” is a direct nod to Eminem, and outlets noted Hailie’s post included the baby’s birthdate alongside his full name, reinforcing the homage.
The milestone follows Hailie and McClintock’s May 2024 wedding, and it comes after Eminem had already hinted at the family’s big news in late 2024. In the music video for his song “Temporary,” Eminem included home footage that showed Hailie sharing the pregnancy news with him—one of the most personal glimpses he’s offered into their relationship in years.
The announcement also drew warm reactions from people close to Eminem. Fellow rapper and longtime collaborator 50 Cent publicly congratulated him, calling the moment “the best,” as fans celebrated seeing the famously private artist step into a new family role.
