Michelle Dockery is expecting her first child with her husband, Jasper Waller-Bridge.
The Downton Abbey star revealed the news publicly while attending the London world premiere of Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale, where she appeared on the red carpet in a blue gown that highlighted her baby bump.
Dockery, 43, and Waller-Bridge—who is the younger brother of Fleabag creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge—married in 2023 after announcing their engagement in 2022.
The pregnancy reveal arrives as Dockery returns to one of her most defining roles, Lady Mary Crawley, in what’s being billed as the final film in the Downton Abbey franchise. The movie is set for theatrical release on September 12, 2025.
People who’ve worked closely with Dockery have also shared supportive reactions. At the New York premiere for The Grand Finale, Hugh Bonneville (who plays Robert Crawley) told People that Dockery had confided her baby news to him before it became public.
