Marvel is keeping the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen on the board for the long haul.
Disney+ has renewed Marvel Television’s Daredevil: Born Again for a third season months ahead of Season 2’s expected March 2026 return, with Marvel Television head Brad Winderbaum confirming that Season 3 is planned to begin filming in 2026.
The early renewal is notable because Born Again was initially structured as a two-season plan after Marvel’s well-publicized creative overhaul and episode restructuring.
Instead of treating the revival as a short, self-contained run, Marvel is now signaling that the series can continue as an ongoing pillar of its street-level corner of the MCU—especially as it reintroduces characters from the former Netflix-era lineup under Marvel Studios’ “Marvel Television” banner.
Season 2 remains slated for March 2026, though Disney+’s current listing emphasizes the month rather than locking a specific day on the public-facing show page.
That return matters because Season 1 ended with Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) consolidating power as New York City’s mayor and escalating his crackdown on masked vigilantes—raising the stakes for Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) and setting up a wider “resistance” dynamic that can naturally expand the cast and the scope.
The Season 3 pickup also gives Marvel more runway to capitalize on one of Season 2’s biggest headline hooks: Krysten Ritter’s return as Jessica Jones, a move that immediately revived “Defenders reunion” speculation among fans.
Showrunner Dario Scardapane has previously cautioned that any larger crossover needs to be story-driven—earned by what’s happening to the city and the characters—rather than forced fan service.
