Zendaya is officially heading to Far Far Away. Universal released a first-look teaser confirming the Emmy winner will voice Felicia, the teenage daughter of Shrek and Fiona, in Shrek 5.
The clip reintroduces familiar faces—Shrek (Mike Myers), Fiona (Cameron Diaz), and Donkey (Eddie Murphy)—along with other franchise regulars, while giving a quick glimpse of Felicia’s dynamic with her famously uncouth dad.
Beyond Zendaya’s casting, Universal and the trades have confirmed the core voice cast is returning, with plot details still largely under wraps. The film is set for a theatrical release on Dec. 23, 2026, a date that also lines up with the franchise’s 25th anniversary milestone.
Entertainment Weekly also reports that the sequel is being directed by franchise veterans Walt Dohrn and Conrad Vernon, signaling a continuity of tone even as the story introduces a new generation into Shrek and Fiona’s orbit.
