Local authorities have verified that Las Vegas Metropolitan Police executed a search warrant in nearby Henderson, Nevada on Monday (17 July) in connection with the unsolved shooting of hip-hop icon Tupac Shakur on the Las Vegas Strip in 1996. According to multiple reports, this is true.
Lt. Jason Johansson of the Metropolitan Police Department told –
“The search warrant that we conducted is in connection with the Tupac Shakur case.”
Johansson stated, “It has been a while” since the incident. “It’s a case that’s gone unsolved and hopefully one day we can change that.” Shakur was 25 years old when he was shot near the Las Vegas Strip. While seated in a vehicle on the night of the Mike Tyson-Bruce Seldon fight, the musician was struck by two chest rounds, one arm round, and one thigh round. Six days after his hospitalization, he passed away.
