Die, My Love

Directed by Lynne Ramsay, with a screenplay she wrote together with Alice Birch and Enda Walsh, “Die, My Love” is a black comedy-drama film. It premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival on May 17th 2025 and will be released in U.S. theaters on November 7th, 2025 by Mubi.
Based on Ariana Harwicz’s 2012 novel of the same name, the film tells the story of Grace, played by Jennifer Lawrence, a young mother who struggles with postpartum depression, and her partner Jackson, played by Robert Pattinson, as they face a shared mental health crisis. In supporting roles, the film stars Nick Nolte, Sissy Spacek, and LaKeith Stanfield.
Peter Hujar’s Day

Set during the 1970s, “Peter Hujar’s Day” is a biographical drama film that follows photographer Peter Hujar and his friend Linda. It is a movie about being an artist among other artists in a city where no one was making money. Ira Sachs directed and wrote the film, which features Ben Whishaw as the photographer and Rebecca Hall as writer Linda Rosenkrantz.
On January 27th, 2025, at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival, the movie premiered and is set to hit U.S. theaters on November 7th, 2025.
Predator: Badlands

In the “Predators” franchise, “Predator: Badlands” is an upcoming sci-fi film that will be released in U.S. theaters on November 7th, 2025. Set in the future on a distant planet, the story follows a young Predator who has been cast out from his clan. He teams up with Thia, an unexpected ally, and together they go on a dangerous journey to find the ultimate enemy.
Written by Patrick Aison and directed by Dan Trachtenberg, the film stars Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi and Elle Fanning.
Jay Kelly

An upcoming coming-of-age comedy-drama film, “Jay Kelly,” centres on a well-known actor, George Clooney and his manager, Adam Sandler, as they journey across Europe, looking back on their past decisions, relationships, and what they’ve achieved in life. In addition to Clooney and Sandler, the film stars Billy Crudup, Laura Dern, Greta Gerwig, Emily Mortimer, Patrick Wilson, Riley Keough, Stacy Keach, Jim Broadbent, and Eve Hewson.
The film premiered on August 28th, 2025, at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival and is set to release in some selected theaters on November 14th, 2025.
The Running Man

Based on Stephen King’s 1982 novel, which he wrote under the name Richard Bachman, “The Running Man” is an action thriller film. It is the second adaptation of the novel after the 1987 film. The story is set in a game show called The Running Man, where contestants known as runners are hunted by killers trying to track them down. Anyone who survives for 30 days wins a grand prize of $1 billion.
On November 14th, 2025, the film will be released by Paramount Pictures in the United States. The movie features a talented cast, including Emilia Jones, Glen Powell, William H. Macy, Lee Pace, Colman Domingo, Josh Brolin, Michael Cera, Daniel Ezra, and Jayme Lawson.
Train Dreams

Directed by Clint Bentley, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Greg Kwedar, “Train Dreams” is an upcoming American drama film. Based on Denis Johnson’s 2011 novel of the same name, the movie features some talented actors, including Clifton Collins Jr., Kerry Condon, William H. Macy, Joel Edgerton, and Felicity Jones.
The story follows Robert Grainier, a logger helping to build the railroad across the United States, as he spends long periods away from his wife and daughter while trying to find his place in a rapidly changing world.
Wicked: For Good

It is an American musical fantasy film which is directed by Jon M. Chu and written by Winnie Holzman and Dana Fox. The movie adapts the second part of the 2003 stage musical by Stephen Schwartz and Holzman, and is the sequel to Wicked 2024.
The story is set in the Land of Oz, before and after Dorothy arrives from Kansas, and follows Elphaba and Glinda as they take on their new roles as the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good. At first, the film will premiere on November 4th, 2025, in São Paulo, Brazil and will hit U.S. theaters on November 21st, 2025.
Eternity

Written by David Freyne and Pat Cunnane, “Eternity” is a romantic comedy about a world where everyone has one week after death to choose where they will spend eternity. For Joan, Larry, and Luke, the real question is who to spend it with, and Joan must decide between her first love, who passed away in a war, and the man she has built her life with.
On November 14th, 2025, the film will be released in limited theaters in the United States and on November 26th, 2025, it will premiere nationwide. The film stars Elizabeth Olsen, John Early, Miles Teller, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, and Callum Turner.
Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery

Another movie that is releasing in November 2025 is Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. It is a mystery comedy film, which is the third instalment in the “Knives Out” series and a standalone sequel to “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” 2022.
Daniel Craig reprises his role as master detective Benoit Blanc, joined by a talented ensemble, including Josh O’Connor, Glenn Close, Andrew Scott, Cailee Spaeny, Daryl McCormack, Josh Brolin, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Thomas Haden Church, and Kerry Washington. On November 26th, 2025, the film will be released in theaters.
Zootopia 2

This upcoming animated buddy cop comedy film from Walt Disney Animation Studios is the sequel to “Zootopia” 2016. It is produced by Yvett Merino, directed by Byron Howard and Jared Bush, and written by Jared Bush.
The story of the film follows Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde as they track Zootopia’s new mysterious reptile, Gary De’Snake, and uncover a hidden community of reptiles living in the city’s underworld. Returning from the 2016 film are Jason Bateman, Ginnifer Goodwin, Shakira, and Idris Elba, joined by new stars Fortune Feimster, Andy Samberg, Ke Huy Quan, David Strathairn, Quinta Brunson, and Patrick Warburton. In the United States, the film will be released on November 26th, 2025.
Hamnet

The historical drama film “Hamnet” tells the story of William Shakespeare and his wife, Agnes and how the death of their 11-year-old son Hamnet deeply affects their lives. It is based on a 2020 novel of the same name, written by Maggie O’Farrell. Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal play Agnes and William, while Joe Alwyn and Emily Watson appear in supporting parts.
At the 52nd Telluride Film Festival, the film had its world premiere. Also, it is set to be released in limited theaters in Canada and the U.S. on November 27th, 2025.
Frankenstein

This sci-fi film is based on an 1818 novel of the same name, written by Mary Shelley. Directed and written by Guillermo del Toro, the film centres on a talented but arrogant scientist who creates a monstrous being in a bold experiment, which eventually brings disaster to both him and his creation.
Mia Goth, Felix Kammerer, Oscar Isaac, Jacob Elordi, Charles Dance, Christoph Waltz, Lauren Collins, Lars Mikkelsen, and David Bradley all star in this Gothic film. On November 7th, 2025, the film will be available worldwide on Netflix.
