Meliá fights to stay positive in the year on the stock market. The stock bounces 2.3% from January after yesterday’s rise.

The hotel company does not finish convincing the consensus of FactSet analysts that it is time to enter the value, since it recommends keeping its securities in the portfolio. However, if its forecasts are fulfilled, for the next 12 months its actions will advance more than 18% until reaching 6.77 euros, levels prior to the pandemic that it recovered at the beginning of the year.

There are stocks that have crossed the line in recent sessions. IAG fell 1% in the year and Aena did it 6.4%. The hotel company is not the only selective Spanish company that is about to retrace its steps. Red Eléctrica advanced less than 2%, Viscofan 3.1%, Enagás did 5.3% and Colonial exceeded the prices at which the year began by 6.1%.
