A representative for Jason Aldean said he will reschedule a concert cut short after he suffered heat exhaustion on stage. Aldean later reported that he was “doing fine” after rushing off stage on Saturday (15 July) with “a combination of dehydration and just heat exhaustion.”
The temperature reached a peak of 89 degrees at the Xfinity Theatre in Hartford, Connecticut, where Aldean was performing. Fans’ footage revealed that at one moment during the performance, Aldean appeared to struggle to sing before leaving the stage. The venue verified on Sunday that the concert will be rescheduled for an undetermined date and that Aldean is in good health.
Xfinity Theatre said in a statement –
“Yesterday’s Jason Aldean show will be rescheduled for a future date.”
“We appreciate your patience as we work on rescheduling a new date, as well as the outpouring of well wishes for Jason.”
“A rep confirmed he is now doing well after experiencing a heat stroke during last night’s performance.”
“Please stay tuned to all social media for updates as they become available.”
Do you know that family members of a young Detroit resident say their 11-year-old daughter is “lucky to be alive” after a 12-year-old girl allegedly threw acid on her during a dispute in a nearby park? Following the incident on July 9, Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged the 12-year-old with felony assault and intent to cause grievous bodily harm:
Aldean said in a video posted to Twitter –
“Just want to let you know, thanks to everybody that’s calling and checking.”
“I’m doing fine. Just one of those things. It was hot. I was playing golf all day yesterday and then got to the show and, just, I think it was a combination of dehydration and just heat exhaustion.”
Although Aldean was unsure whether the incident was as severe as a heat stroke, he acknowledged that it was “pretty intense.”
