Emmy Award-winning period-drama comedy, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, has been a favourite for viewers of the streaming service since it premiered in 2017. In recent news, it has been revealed that the Amazon Prime original show is likely to see a return in 2022 for a new season aka The Marvelous Mrs Maisel Season 4.

It only took two years to happen, but Amazon has now officially announced the new season four release date. The Marvelous Mrs Maisel will now be released on Prime on February 18, 2022. With eight episodes, two episodes will drop each Friday over four weeks.

Stand-up comedian Midge Maisel (Rachel Brosnahan) will make a comeback with her grumpy manager Susie Myerson (Alex Borstein) as well as her dysfunctional family with parents Rose Weissman (Marin Hinkle) and Abe Weissman (Tony Shalhoub), her ex-husband Joel (Michael Zegen) and ex-father-in-law who goes by the name of Moishe (Kevin Pollak).
And for those who are rooting for Midge’s love life, potential love interest Lenny Bruce, portrayed by Luke Kirby, will be coming back to the stand-up scene. Joel’s girlfriend Mei (Stephanie Hsu) will also play in the latest season of The Marvelous Mrs Maisel.
The series will see several new characters and a storyline, and they will be joined by a host of new faces, including Kelly Bishop, who is best known for her role as Emily Gilmore on Gilmore, Milo Ventimiglia from This Is Us, Gilmore Girls, and Jason Alexander from the show Seinfeld.

The last season saw Midge ascending the highest before and falling the lowest. After a successful American part of Shy Baldwin’s world tour, Midge was set to join him on the world tour as his opening act.
After some jokes which risked outing Shy’s sexuality and gender orientation during one of her sets, Midge has kicked off the rest of the tour just minutes before boarding the plane.

“It’s 1960, and some difference is in the air. Midge finds a gig with total freedom looking to hone her act. But her dedication to her craft and the places it takes her creates a rift between her and the family and friends that are around her.”
