With a huge fan base and four successful seasons, The Durrells in Corfu has made a name in the entertainment industry. The witty characters and the strong storyline make it an excellent series for people to watch. Based on the real-life of The Durrells through the autobiography The Corfu Trilogy written by Gerald Durrell, the British comedy-drama might have to end. And there might never be The Durrells in Corfu Season 5.

The Durrells in Corfu Season 5 Renewal and Release Date
The show’s season 4 aired on ITV in the UK on April 7 2019. Later that year, on September 27, 2019, season 4 aired in the US on PBS. But, before the release of season 4, in March, BBC announced the fourth season would be the final season, and there will be no The Durrells in Corfu Season 5.
The executive producer, as well as one of the main characters in the show, Keeley Hawes, has said:
“I’m delighted to be heading back to Corfu for a final series of ‘The Durrells’. It’s been such a wonderful series to work on, and I’m so pleased that viewers have taken the family to their hearts as much as we have. Hence, no more seasons or episodes will feature The Durrell family and their adventures in Corfu.

The main cast for this show is primarily actors as members of the Durrell family. After all, the autobiography on which it is based revolves around the Durrells and their time in Corfu from 1935 to 1939, along with a couple of exotic animals featured in every book and season.
